10 Things Tuesday: T shirts!

Some tee shirts get raggedy or stained, and some you just grow out of.  You can of course donate them to thrift stores or charities, or make them "new" again by adding fabric flowers or appliques, but maybe this list will make you think twice about what else you can do!  Some involve sewing, which isn't my strength, but none of it looks TOO daunting!  And the ones that AREN'T sewing-intensive are even better!  :)

10.  Make them into dresses for kids!  Your little girls will thank you!  (Or you can donate them to hospitals, women's shelters, charities, etc.)

 9. Nothing new, but I wish I had saved all my sports or girls' camp & EFY tees so I could have made a quilt of my youth!

 8. Along that same vein, you can make tee pillows!

 7. Or how about this giant tee shirt pillow/beanbag?  That looks SOOOOOOO comfy!

 5. How about reusing them as cloth napkins?  Regular cloth napkins can be SO expensive, but these would be free!   OR...

 ...you could not even worry about sewing them at all and then you'll have free rags!

 3.  You can turn your tee shirts into soft, comfy yarn for crocheting or knitting projects!  Tutorial HERE!

 1. How about cutting them up and making funky scarves or necklaces?  There are a lot of tutorials online, but THIS one or THIS one is a good place to get started!

 * One of my favorite ideas!  Turn it into a reusable grocery bag! You cut off the sleeves, then you can sew the bottoms OR, even better, just turn it inside out, RUBBER BAND the bottom together tightly, then turn right-side out and you're good to go!
