10 Things Tuesday: Milk Jugs!

You know those gallon (or half gallon) jugs?  Turns out that that plastic NEVER degrades in a landfill.  Yikes!  So we need to recycle them, obviously.  But maybe one of these ideas will get you excited about reusing them, too!

10. Save all those jugs and make your kiddos an igloo!  I've been in classrooms that did this, and it was pretty fun!  (They DO take a lot of space, and a bit of time, but how fun to put in your backyard!)

9. Halloween decorations!  How about these ghostly luminaries, or this cute milk jug skeleton?  Fun crafts and FREE decor?  Heck yes!

8. Easy catch game--take two large clean jugs, cut the bottom off, tape the sides with fun duct tape, and toss and catch a ball around!

7. Birdfeeders!

6. Use in the garden--as planters or watering cans!

5. Use as a berry picking basket!

4. Check out this funky jug panel skirt from FamilyFun!

3. Use as a funnel in many places!

2. Make reusable lunch containers!  (Also from FamilyFun!)  Directions HERE!

1. Use as containers!  You can cut them and use as-is, or decorate with a bit of modpodge and tissue paper.

Well, that's it for this week!  Happy Crafting!
