We don't use water bottles, but occasionally we buy a plastic soda bottle when we're traveling or for parties. Plastic bottles are a terrible waste! You can recycle them, but before you do, why not do a bit of crafting first? There are some GREAT ways to reuse plastic bottles!
10. Make fun animals! FamilyFun has a TON of ideas, like the piggy bank or fish below!
8. Use those bottle bottoms and turn them into pretty flower garlands or chandeliers! THIS LINK will show you how!
7. Make an hourglass timer with some colored sand for your kiddo! (I'm thinking this would be great for toothbrushing or handwashing...)
6. How SWEET is this water bottle lighthouse from FamilyFun? At first glance, I wouldn't have even known it was a recycled craft!
5. I love this magazine/newspaper rack/organizer!
4. This is a spin on an old postcard--fill the bottle with some fun trinkets or mementos from vacation, tightly screw on the lid, and address it! The post office will send these messages in a bottle just about anywhere!
3. Use the bottoms as a mini paint pallette! (And you can use the tops for a funnel!)
2. This is kinda genius--turns out the top pump thingies for soap dispensers often screw right onto water bottles...slap some vinyl on the front, fill with soap, and you're good to go!
1. How about toys for your kiddos--a water-and-trinkets-filled toddler discovery bottle (glue the lid on!) or a fun tractor? :)
Well, what do you think? I can't wait to save up enough bottles to do something awesome with them!
