Exhaustion?
I wonder if anyone could explain this to me. I was sleeping almost never earlier in the semester, averaging maybe 3-4 hours a night, and I was exhausted. Then my sister gave us her car and my husband was able to drive himself to and from work, so I started sleeping 7-8 hours a night. Still exhausted. Now, I'm so tired all the time that even after laying in bed for 13 hours a day (on average) I am still exhausted...like, last night I slept 6 hours and then today I took a 7-hour nap with my husband. But no matter what I do, or how often I sleep, or eat, or move around, I'm always tired. Not just tired, EXHAUSTED. I could crawl right back in bed right now and sleep LATE in the morning, if only my schedule would allow it. Does this NOT make sense to anyone else? Should I see a doctor or something, or is this just an adjustment thing? How long do adjustments take before they are no longer adjustments and become actual problems?

A visit to the doctor may be a good idea. There are three options that I can think of: iron deficiency, thyroid problem, or pregnancy. Only you could know how probable the last option is, the rest a doctor would have to tell you. I hope you get it figured out quick! It must be miserable to feel so sluggish all the time. Feel better! :D
ReplyDeleteI have this issue as well. I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, and I have symptoms of fibromyalgia. It could be something like that and it could also be your body saying to slow the pace! When I don't slow the pace my body completely shuts down. I don't know if you remember my last Fall at BYU, I had to go to the doctor a whole bunch because I felt like collapsing from just crossing the street, all the time. (And of course the doctors didn't help-grrrrr.Which is why I have turned to herbs and have FINALLY been building my body and stamina up.) Definitely watch it and make sure you are getting enough water and green food, and RELAXING. Make sure everyday you COMPLETELY wind down. Slow down durring the day. I really believe stress will turn out to be the cause of cancer and everything else! Take care buddy!
